For commercial clients and developers, this Group renders legal services for the purchase, sale, financing, development, and utilization of residential, commercial, and industrial real estate. Our attorneys are experienced in providing counsel in drafting and negotiating acquisition and sales agreements, forming business entities, and drafting and negotiating leases and construction contracts. We represent clients before planning, zoning, real estate tax assessment boards, and other governmental bodies. The Firm is involved in all stages of condominium and other planned community development, representing developers of both new construction and condominium conversion properties as well as associations of condominium unit owners and homeowners.

S. Leonard Rottman Mr. Rottman chairs the Firm's Real Estate Section. He concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, business, and probate. Mr. Rottman is a former Assistant City Solicitor and an Assistant Attorney General of Maryland.

Walter R. Stone Mr. Stone's practice currently has its emphasis in the area of the acquisition, sale, development and management of commercial real estate, as well as the areas of general business, corporate and taxation law.

David B. Rudow Mr. Rudow is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and former Internal Revenue Service Agent. Mr. Rudow's practice focuses on the areas of federal and state taxation, business transactions, real estate and estate planning.

Jerald B. Lurie Mr. Lurie currently chairs the Firm's Business Section. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business, employment, intellectual property, health care, real estate and tax law.

Mark L. Miller Mr. Miller concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and real estate transactions, and the negotiation and drafting of construction and design professional contracts. He is an architect, engineer, and former construction manager.

Leslie J. Polt Mr. Polt concentrates his practice in financial services, leasing and business restructuring and bankruptcy. He represents banks, commercial financial companies, leasing companies and other institutional lenders.

Shobita C. DuBois Ms. DuBois focuses her practice on business and corporate law. Her experience also includes real estate law as well as wills, estates and trust matters.

Robert M. Horne Mr. Horne focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration and general business law. He is a former Judicial Law Clerk for the Orphans' Court for Baltimore City.
