Business

The Business Group deals with transactions involving commercial contracts, acquisitions and mergers, joint ventures, franchising and computer acquisition and servicing agreements. This Group handles the basic functions involved in modern corporate law, dealing with the laws affecting, creating, maintaining, and reorganizing corporations and their business entities, including professional service corporations, LLC's, LLP's and LLLP's. The attorneys in the Business Group counsel clients on debt restructuring and find innovative solutions to complex financing issues. We offer services as counsel in connection with matters involving EEOC compliance, and matters before regulatory agencies and in the state and federal courts. We also counsel business and professional clients in the increasingly complex area of federal, state, and local government regulation.

Jerald B. Lurie Mr. Lurie currently chairs the firm's Business Section. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business, real estate, employment, intellectual property, health care and tax law.

David B. Rudow Mr. Rudow's practice focuses on the areas of federal and state taxation, business transactions, real estate and estate planning. Mr. Rudow is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and former Internal Revenue Service Agent.

S. Leonard Rottman Mr. Rottman chairs the firm's Real Estate Section. He concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, business, and probate. Mr. Rottman is a former Assistant City Solicitor and an Assistant Attorney General of Maryland.

Walter R. Stone Mr. Stone's practice currently has its emphasis in the area of the acquisition, sale, development and management of commercial real estate, as well as the areas of general business, corporate and taxation law.

Yale M. Ginsburg Mr. Ginsburg concentrates his practice in Estate Planning & Administration and General Tax Planning. He represents a broad base of clients, ranging from those requiring basic estate planning to those requiring charitable trusts, revocable trusts, life insurance trusts, and other sophisticated tax planning techniques.

Oren D. Saltzman Mr. Saltzman's practice includes the areas of taxation, commercial and corporate law, civil litigation and creditors' rights.

Mark L. Miller Mr. Miller concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and real estate transactions, and the negotiation and drafting of construction and design professional contracts. He is an architect, engineer, and former construction manager.

Leslie J. Polt Mr. Polt concentrates his practice in financial services, leasing and business restructuring and bankruptcy. He represents banks, commercial financial companies, leasing companies and other institutional lenders.

Shobita C. DuBois Ms. DuBois focuses her practice on business and corporate law. Her experience also includes real estate law as well as wills, estates and trust matters.

Robert M. Horne Mr. Horne focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration and general business law. He is a former Judicial Law Clerk for the Orphans' Court for Baltimore City.

Eric D. Disharoon Mr. Disharoon focuses his practice on business/corporate law and criminal/civil litigation. His experience also includes family law litigation, tax law and transactional matters.
